Dora Franco, B.Sc., D.O., BI-D, ( www.terapia-sacrocraniana.blogspot.com ) completed the Course Brain Tissue, Nuclei, Fluid & Recticular Alarm System. This Course is part of the second segment of the Brain Tissue, Nuclei, Fluid Curriculum developed by Dr. Bruno Chickly, M.D. and D.O. (F) dedicated to highly qualified therapists.
This post-graduation Course, designed for highly skilled therapists, teached the form, function and response mechanisms of the brain's various components and offered hands-on techniques to effectively release many primary restrictions that can affect the whole body.
This advanced Course explained in particular how to downregulate main components of the reticular alarm system (RAS) in the body, including techniques for the medial and lateral columns, and how to release specific mechanical restrictions in the ventricular system, including inter- and intraventricular dysfunctions.
During this Course, the therapist studied and practiced techniques for new areas such as, inter alia, the commisure of fornix, anterior commisure, internal capsule and corticospinal pathways, thalamic nuclei (including reticular nuclei, vermis, and cerebellar peduncles) and inferior olivary nuclei, etc.; deepened their skills in facilitating mobility of the brain and spinal cord, and release dysfunctions in the layers of the dura, arachnoid and pia mater; learned how to complete the brain and spinal cord release and free the cauda equina/filum terminale, spinal cord nerve roots and foramen magnum area and how to facilitate release of main ascending and descending pathways as well as grey and white matters dysfunctions of the spinal cord.
